PASMI Polish Association of Self Medication Industry received a written confirmation from the Ministry of Health that the Ministry is not currently carrying out analytical work on the possibility of introducing an additional tax on drug advertising for companies of the pharmaceutical sector.
The Ministry of Health’s reply is a response to a query that PASMI, along with several sectoral organizations, submitted in relation to the publication of an article in the Rzeczpospolita of 1 October 2018 regarding the introduction of a new drug advertising tax.
In a joint letter to the Minister of Health of 9 October 2018 it was requested to confirm or deny that information. In response received by PASMI on 30 October, the Ministry of Health denied that work on the above mentioned taxation of the pharmaceutical industry took place.
“This is very important news for the entire pharmaceutical industry, because it denies current reports. The stability of the law is a guarantee for the business and development of the pharmaceutical industry. “ – says PASMI’s President, Ewa Jankowska.
